Officially, one-fifth of the 3.8 million Bosnians live in poverty, many suffer hunger. More than half of the people have no permanent paid work. The average monthly salary in the Balkans is 420 euros.

Through our distribution activities in Bosnia over the years, we have been observing how much people are affected by the hopeless economic situation. Again and again, we receive calls for help from pastors, who are unable to bear the need in their parish any longer

After the supplies are used up during the winter, spring is often a difficult time till the harvest comes in summer.

With flour and sugar, we want to help specificly to solve the worst of the needs. For 15 Euros we can buy two sacks of flour for a Bosnian family and provide them with this important basic food for many weeks.
